Redeeming Our Communities - follow up meeting, 16th May

Following the launch events back in March, ROC is bringing together those who actually want to be involved in local projects responding to real needs in our community.

The four key areas highlighted from the ROC survey that people are concerned about in our locality are:

1. Young people
2. Parenting and Family Support
3. The Elderly
4. Mental Health
The results of this survey was discussed at the last Steering Group meeting and two action plans have beed defined to move forward:

1. We will investigate setting up a pilot project supporting parents of pre-school children, this of course is one of many aspects of the 'Parenting and Family Support' area.
2. We have arranged a meeting on Wednesday 16th May 7:30 for 8pm start at Gateway Baptist church to bring all like-minded people, who want to be involved in any of the four areas above, together to discuss what happens next. You will be split into groups according to where your main desire to be involved is. I realise that some of you highlighted more than one area that you wanted to be involved in so you will have to choose your main interest.

I do hope you will be able to join us on the 16th :-)
