Hello everyone - here's what is going on around The Point community...
Reigning Saints // Do collect a stone from
the stage today in preparation for the 31st October. Use it over the coming
weeks to pray, 'Lord what is the call on my life? Take my life, have it all -
and show me the good things You have prepared in advance for me to do with You
(Ephesians 2:10).' Halloween // Why
is Halloween on the 31st October, and what's with the dressing up and pumpkins?
Is it OK for Christians to participate in Halloween events? Come along on
the 17th where Jim Watkin will be holding a Q&A session during the coffee break
for those who are interested in knowing more.
Out There // 24th October Keep it free! Normal church hours, but big
surprises to come. Marriage Course // Starts
15th October The Marriage Course start date has been put back for a
week and will now start on Friday 15th October at 7.30pm. There are still a few
places left on the Course so if you would like to sign up or would like to know
more, please contact email
Jean Cooke or phone 01273 834760 or 07711 551913. The Course lasts seven
sessions and is for married couples or couples in a long-term relationship with
the aim of strengthening and enriching marriages/relationships whether you have
been married for one year or thirty years. Many couples from The Point have done
the Course and would highly recommend it to others.

in Burgess Hill Andy and Carrie Reid //
Dear friends at The Point! We want to thank God for bringing us to this place
and for the work He has been doing in us already. The last 5 weeks(!) have
been a real mixture of exciting discovery and feeling unsettled for us all, in
different ways. We have all been missing 'home' and The Point, and the
kids in particular have been unsettled. Whilst we are feeling the loss of all
that we have left behind, we are slowly finding our way into life here in
Bristol. We would be thrilled if you would continue to pray for us.
Please pray that we will all feel more settled and at home here in Bristol and
that we can establish good friendships around us, and that we will each quickly
feel peaceful about the plans and purposes that God has for us here. He
has given us an amazing opportunity in bringing us here. We want to seize it
with both hands. [N.B. A newsletter will follow shortly!]
Accommodation required // Celine Copus (an
ex-IBTI student) is looking for accommodation in this area with either a
Christian family or another Christian young lady. Please contact her via Charles
Graham or phone 01444 232525. Peace and God bless The Point
