real people, real church sunday mornings @ the point...
One morning a man woke up in Haywards Heath. Something felt different. He could taste
it on the air, it tingled in his bones... He went downstairs, got his family together and
said 'Today's the day!' - so they all got ready and left. He'd heard about it from one of the
neighbours, who always seemed strangely at peace. Pulling into the carpark fluorescent-
jacketed stewards cheerfully directed, then black-shirted strangers welcomed them all like
long-lost friends. The kids were sorted out in no time, info was readily available, and even
the coffee was good! But there was something else here, something in the atmosphere:
something that seemed so sacred, yet accepting; pure, yet not condemning; alive and not
fake. And as the people started to sing, as they prayed, as they told story after story of
His grace the man's heart began to burn, and a song which could only have come from
heaven welled up inside...
Another morning a man woke up in Haywards Heath. Something felt different. He could
taste it on the air, it tingled in his bones... As he arrived at the office, the world looked
unusually real. He could sense the possibilities all around. Compassion, hope and
joy seemed to be coursing through his very veins: he was here today to be and to do
whatever the King wanted. Of course there was work to do to which he would give his all -
but now he knew each moment carried the opportunity for divine encounter, each second
slowed with poignancy, each instance allowed the possibility of the realm God inhabits to
break into this world! And the man's heart began to burn...
